Internationalized Domain Name.
Originally, domain names supported only ASCII characters. At present, non-Latin letters such as accents, Chinese and Arabian characters can be integrated in domain names.
However IDNs is limited to a few generic and geographic extensions, such as .com, .net, .de, .cn.
