World Intellectual Property Organization.

Created in 1970, WIPO is a specialized agency of the United Nations system. Established in Geneva, this institution aims at promoting intellectual property in the whole world.

WIPO now manages 23 treaties and enhances different aspects of the intellectual property system, such as trademarks, patents and copyright.

WIPO's Arbitration and Mediation Center provides dispute resolution services dealing with domain names.
